I wish someone had told me ahead of time just how hard it was going to be at first! My little girl was born on February 22 and I had the hardest time (between being so uncomfortable/engorged at first and getting her to latch). I hated pumping and giving her a bottle, but thankfully she never got nipple confusion and breastfeeding is going well now. I hope it's going just as well for you!

I just started using the soothie pacifier. Your daughter is beautiful! :) My little ones are both paci babies - my daughter really liked the MUM pacis, they don't have the same lip as the nuk ones but they are a little more bulbous than the soothies. My other one is the same as Harper - LOVES the soothies but nuks stay ina little better. We bought a wubbanub - they are a little stuffed animal with a soothie sewed into it's mouth. They have a bunch of REALLY cute animals, and it helps keep the paci in their mouths. Definitely worth it's weight in gold, and my littlest is VERY attached even at 2 months!
Good luck!Heathernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1244550196007110818.post-45767467819400797952012-03-12T14:50:40.709-04:002012-03-12T14:50:40.709-04:00wubbanubs work awesome for us and he cuddles with ...wubbanubs work awesome for us and he cuddles with the toy!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1244550196007110818.post-59983669697562185072012-03-12T13:53:05.952-04:002012-03-12T13:53:05.952-04:00Harper is a doll. I totally agree ...Harper is a doll. Love the hair!

I totally agree with you on newborn clothes - I had a 9 lb. 13 oz. baby and he wore newborn dipes/clothes for a few weeks. We also love the gowns.

And I agree with another commenter - you don't have to wash those parts every time! My lactation consultant told me that breastmilk is OK at room temp for 8 hours, so technically you could leave the parts out for that long. And it's good in the fridge for a few days. So at work, I don't wash the parts, since I only pump twice, about four hours apart. At home, I typically wash after work, then pump at night, put the parts in a tupperware in the fridge, and use the same one in the morning. Such a time-saver!Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00269731384152577309noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1244550196007110818.post-27882011438219532072012-03-12T12:24:05.953-04:002012-03-12T12:24:05.953-04:00My husband noticed the same thing about our newbor...My husband noticed the same thing about our newborn.
