As with many of your readers, I stumbled onto your blog via Pinterest. :)

Anyway, I wanted to share one tip with you. (This comes from a woman I work with.) When she was pregnant with her son, he became breech, and her midwife suggested that she get on all fours, tilt her head down to lay on her hands, and keep her butt up. She had to do this for three hours a day---for three weeks...and it worked. Elijah flipped right on around.

Not sure if you were already given that advice, but just in case you didn't, I wanted to share.

Good luck!Catherinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01478598542700981039noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1244550196007110818.post-54622531071499755152012-02-03T23:49:08.898-05:002012-02-03T23:49:08.898-05:00Hey pretty momma! What a beautiful pregnant woman ...Hey pretty momma! What a beautiful pregnant woman are! I don't know you but I can say that I love your weekly postings, and I happen to do the same thing for my daughter.

I just had my daughter in November and while she was not breech she was very badly stuck in my pelvis muscle. I too try the chiropractor and much to our dismay it didn't work. I had to have a c-section and while I wasn't fond of the recovery period and scar, I realized it was best for my daughter.

Getting back on my feet was a little harder than expected- only because of where she ripped through my muscle where she was stuck BUT I was up walking the next day, my scar is beautiful... The doctors did an amazing job and hides in a bikini so nicely. I didn't feel like I didn't give a REAL birth and while scary I felt so much stronger for doing that for my daughter.

You seem like an amazing and strong woman and you will get through this with ease and determination and once you hold your little girl it will seem like the littlest hurdle in the huge WONDERFUL journey you've started!Ashlee Jhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04999033473738520807noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1244550196007110818.post-71923440339437404522012-02-03T20:47:30.695-05:002012-02-03T20:47:30.695-05:00I had a friend that has aversion and she ended up ...I had a friend that has aversion and she ended up having a beautiful home birth. When reading this, the memories from my almost EXACT experience (only 8 months ago) came flooding back. I was at my 36 week appointment alone when I was told our little girl was breech, and I too burst into tears and was overwhelmed by the sudden gush of information about scheduled c-sections and also versions. My hubby and I decided to opt for the c-section considering it was the safest option for bub and hope she would turn in time for a natural delivery. (Along with encouraging her with the music in the lower abdomen and some other funny home remedies.)

She didn't turn, but I have to say, aside from the nerves of the planned c-section, I enjoyed the preparedness that came with it. I've heard its a lot more peaceful going into a planned section rather than an emergency one. Do what you feel is best for bub and you, and the outcome, although not as originally expected will still be perfect, because at the end of the day, your holding that precious new life. :)Christyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14827975411040817418noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1244550196007110818.post-83964590250942412012-02-01T23:24:20.115-05:002012-02-01T23:24:20.115-05:00My daughter was breech up until 32 weeks. My OB sc...My daughter was breech up until 32 weeks. My OB scheduled a c-section and I was mortified. My hopes and dreams of delivering naturally were destroyed. So I did some research and started doing all those silly little maneuvers like walking on your hands & knees every few hours and hanging out upside, along with countless other things that only made me feel worse about not knowing that my little girl hadn't flipped face down until 32 weeks :( I had considered a version until I found out my insurance wouldnt cover it. Again, my dreams were crushed. But I kept doing all those silly maneuvers as suggested and soon became determined I could flip her my self. Well, one day while sitting on the couch doing some technique I researched I felt a big swoosh and looked at my stomach to see what looked like my daughter doing a somersault. I had actually flipped her over, safely, head down. I couldnt believe it. I was so ecstatic I shrieked with joy, out loud, and I probably shed a few tears of joy. I was over the moon, but in the back of my mind I didnt wanna get too excited in case I only imagined it or that what i felt wasnt really her flipping over. I called my OB the next day to tell her what I thot and at my next appt she confirmed I did in fact flip the baby face down. She was completely surprised. Now, Im not a medical professional, or your OB, so I cant say you *should* do those techniques, but I wanted to share with you that I did them and they worked. Best of luck to you, and congrats on your baby girl :)Jacquelinenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1244550196007110818.post-18499470806082417982012-02-01T12:35:52.365-05:002012-02-01T12:35:52.365-05:00I recently needed an emergency c-section after 8 h...I recently needed an emergency c-section after 8 hours of labor. I have a friend whose baby was breech. She laid on a sheet while her husband and a friend attempted to pull the sheet out from under her (never really pulling it out, just pulling as if they were going to) and the baby FLIPPED! I think it took several attempts, but it might be worth looking into! good luck!!! (ps - I had a csection after getting to a 10 and pushing for 3 hours, and also had a successful vbac with no meds - unexpectedly at 30 weeks - and I honestly don't know which was worse. All that to say, regardless of whether you have a csection or not, recovery is painful! Although I've heard scheduled csections are much easier to recover from than unplanned csections that happen after you've labored a long time. Again, good luck! It'll be worth it!Cindyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17504225638122812110noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1244550196007110818.post-26635578682805189232012-01-30T13:48:25.532-05:002012-01-30T13:48:25.532-05:00i had an emergency c-section, but i went well, we ...i had an emergency c-section, but i went well, we didn't know when we got pregnate that i can not have children naturally and even though my doctor had noticed something off he didn't feel the need to share it untill i was 40 weeks and 1 day UGH... i was pretty upset but everything went very smoothly with my c-section, it was very easy and i had almost no pain after i was up and taking a shower that night, but weigh out your options because not everyones c-section goes as smoothly..
P.S. i love your blogAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1244550196007110818.post-8115122805134553432012-01-30T07:52:42.921-05:002012-01-30T07:52:42.921-05:00I am currently feeding my 16 day old baby girl tha...I am currently feeding my 16 day old baby girl that was born breech VAGINALLY. I was induced, thinking baby was head down, until just before I started to push, the doctor checked me to see how dilated I was, and said, this is meconium and she's breech. Everyone in the room was surprised, including my daughter I'm sure you just got her first rectal exam!! I panicked and said, "Am I going for a c-section?" he said no, she's already far down, we are going to push. We had to turn off the epidural and turn up the pitocin to get her out! Ouch!! 90 minutes later I have birth to a beautiful baby girl. Except now, in the past 2 weeks, all we've had are complications. The bruising on her but was So bad from the pushing she ended up with jaundice and was re-admitted after going home, got an IV, and stayed 2 days under the bilirubin lights. She has a broken left clavicle, which is common and now healed. Her left hip clicks, and we had to get an ultrasound to rule out hip dysplasia. We find out on Tuesday If its bad enough, she will be fitted for a brae to wear for the next 6 weeks. She has significant swelling to the right side of her neck (a sternocleidomastoid tumor) that causes torticollis. She will be receiving in home physical therapy for. All these were due to her breech delivery. All this could have been avoided by a c-section. And a c-section was my worst fear. If I could have gone back and done it all over again, I would have begged for the c-section!!! Hope your experience is better than mine was!! As a first time mom, it wasn't at all what I dreamed! I found out that she was breech around 34 weeks. The doctor kept telling me that a version would be a good idea and being tall I would have great results. I had it scheduled, but the entire time I was not at ease with the idea. I decided to follow my gut and go with the c-section. As they were pulling my daughter out the doctor looked over the drape and said "I really thought that you should have done the version. But I am glad that you didn't!" The cord was wrapped around her neck so tight that I would have had to go in for an emergency c-section and she would have been without oxygen until they got her out. This could have caused permanent brain damage or even death. I am not telling you this to scare you; I am just sharing my experience. You need follow your GUT, if it does not feel right then don't do it. Your motherly instincts are usually correct. I have a natural and c-section and I would do a c-section over any day.
