Our Favorite Things... Jams!

Not the kind of jam you can eat with a spoon when you're pregnant. Not even the kinda jam that results in Harper droppin'-it-like-it's-hot across the living room. We're talking about pajama-jams! :) And we have a super obsession with baby jams in our house!
I started to get really sad this week because Harper has officially grown out of her 6-12 month size pajamas. The pajamas that she has been wearing for HALF of her life are now getting folded & tucked away in rubbermaids in her closet. Boo. Luckily, we have scooped up a few of our very favorite pairs in some larger sizes, but in the mean time, we are on the hunt for some new snuggly swag.

Which leads me to this... the cutest jams on the block! :)

One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Six. Seven. Eight. Nine.

I love the way Gap & Old Navy pajamas fit and I am so thankful that they have their footie/zip sleepers all the way up to 5T sizes! And, even though J.Crew Crewcuts only start at size 2T, their stuff runs so small, so Harper can fit into some of their over-the-top-adorable things already. Also, if you haven't had your baby in Kicky Pants brand pajamas yet, they are a must. Especially for newborns, the fabric is softer than you could ever imagine. I was legitimately SAD the other day browsing the baby section at Target & seeing all of the cute new baby pajamas that only go up to 9 month size. What a cruel joke. Especially because "legitimately sad" leads to Fritos.

Now that Harper is growing out of the 12 month size, she has been wearing two piece pajama sets more often. There really is nothing cuter than her little baby belly poking out or how cute her booty looks in these pants.

Also, as I mentioned on instagram (@jlgarvin), I am going to be getting rid of some of Harper's baby clothes. Husband says I have to cut my stash in half before her first birthday (yeah right), so I've agreed to get rid of all of the things that I'm not "attached" to. Of course we want more kids (and I desperately want more girls!) but let's all get serious, I will buy lots of new stuff if/when the time comes. A few hundred rubbermaids of baby clothes is unacceptable. More to come on the clothing sale.

In the mean time, it's Friday night. Bottoms up!
XOXO

  7. Love me some baby jammies :) I will admit, the girls jammies are cuter than the boys, but I deffinately think the baby boy wardrobe world has improved a lot :) I had a hard time getting rid of matthew's 0-3 month stash, but I don't have room for all the clothes lol!! I know when baby number 2 comes (hoping a girl this time) I'll be buying stuff like crazy just like before!! The blue chevron ones you have above are adorable, as well as the ones Harper is in :)

  8. The link to number four did not work, and I'm pretty sure it has a giraffe on it, so I might need it for future baby Yorks! xD Could you share what store you found them from? Thank you!

  9. She is just too adorable!! My just-turned-four-year-old REFUSES to wear footed pj's anymore (and has for over a year!), so I'm pumped that my little chunk (a 7 month old boy) has no say and will wear them. :)

  12. I recently discovered your blog through a friend and I have to say it rocks! I agree with the Gap jammies, the waistbands are the best for keeping those bad boys up over my son's chubby tummy! Checkout the outlet if you have one near, you can get last year's jams for next to nothing!

  14. We love The Children's Place jammies too! I am picky on the designs, and only grab what I really like. However, I run across really cute ones often there :) We had baby girl #2 in August, and I hear you on clothes!!! There are totes of clothes everywhere here :)

  16. I don't even have children (yet! we are trying!) and I hope for a little girl... I have been saving everything you suggest to my Amazon wishlist... and I have thought "Oh I should just buy that in case" but never know what size to buy (or I would have a lot of boys as a result.) I can't wait to see what you sell! I might have to add them to the cute little Raplh Lauren baby dresses I have been saving for years!

  17. Just a tip (I have two girls) space saver bags are much better way to store the clothes. They take up less space, cost about the same and you can cram a lot of itty bitty clothes into one large/extra bag so the hubs doesn't think you have "as much" as you really do :)

  18. We love our jammies too! Every time I put them on her I say it 'pajamer time' (like hammer time!) Love them! Harper is so adorable! Love your blog!

  19. I have stumbled across your blog and have checked in on your family since you were pregnant. While reading this post, the thought crossed my mind...."I wonder what she does with all of Harper's clothes??" I have 2 girls. One is almost 7 and the other will be 1.
Just thought it funny that you should decide to sell clothes ;) I will keep a lookout.
    Thanks for the entertainment!

PS: Saw these glitter sandwich cookies and thought they would be a perfect addition to Harper's pink and gold party (is that creepy? I'm sorry. Haha) http://www.purlbee.com/the-purl-bee/2010/12/22/glittering-cookie-recipe-happy-holidays-from-purl-soho.html

  35. Clothing sale?!?!?! I'm in! Although Amelia is only 3 months behind Harper in age and a chunkster too so it may not be realistic to buy the clothing. I'm also planning A's birthday and love your color theme. I'm trying to stick to simple but there are so many ideas out there. Haha!

  36. Yep, mad at Target for that too. Just because our babies are not 9mo old anymore doesn't mean we don't want the cutesy jammies! Children's Place sells some cute ones and I've seen online that some zip from bottom to top to make changing diapers easier---awesome, right?
