I can't believe this is my 100th post here on Little Baby Garvin! It seems like this blog & of course my darling babe have been a part of my life forever! My blog has grown into something I could have never imagined! It all started as a way to document my pregnancy for friends & family far away.
Now here we are, more than a year later, and my blog is such a crazy, huge part of my life! I love documenting our journey now just as much as my pregnancy. I can't thank you all enough for making this blog what it is today! Your comments & emails make me smile on a daily basis. One day, Harper will be old enough to read all of this, and I just know her heart will be so full of happiness thanks to you all! :)
When can I start painting her nails!?!?!?
SO, I am working on my next post, YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED! :) I get so many emails that it is hard to find time to respond to them all, but I read each and every one! I am compiling a post to try and answer as many of your questions as possible! A lot of the questions are about Harper's cute clothes or toys, so I am going to do my best from now on to link to everything that I can for you! I hate finding something cute online (especially pinterest!) without a link to where I can get it! So if you have something you would like to ask, that you haven't already sent me in an email, leave a comment and I will try to include it in my post tomorrow! Feel free to tell me what you'd like to see more of... or less of (sorry.. the occasional swear words & drinking references are here to stay).
In other news, it feels like FALL in Georgia! I couldn't be more excited! We are going on a big time Fall shopping trip this weekend so I thought I would share Harper's Fall Wish List with you ahead of time! I am loving all of the purple this year... of course all of the girly gear at the Gap has me swooning! :)
Thank you all again for following along on our journey! Words cannot express my gratitude for all of your encouragement & kindness over the last fifteen months. Wish I could buy you all a virtual beer (or sparkling water...)! XOXO

I love your blog! Keep up the good work!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats! I absolutely love your blog--it is what inspired me to start my journey of being pregnant and motherhood. :)

I love your blog! It's one of the first that I started following and one of the ones that I look forward to most!
ReplyDeleteI started following you after seeing your adorable chalk board on pinterest and have put my husband on a wild goose chase to find an old frame or painting so that I can make one of my own before we start our own little family.
Thank you for being real... I, personally, enjoy your beer and football updates :)
Love your blog!
ReplyDeleteI've been following you for a while and I just enjoy your journey.
You have a beautiful girl, beautiful family.
It just make me start my own family journey ASAP lol
Greetings from Mexico :)
I had identical twin sisters and we painted one of their nails so we could tell who was who! I say paint!
ReplyDeleteI love your blog - this is my first comment though! This is prob too long to include in a Q and A post, but I'm hoping someday you will write H's birth story! I think I remember you said you were going to have a scheduled C-section and I am curious how everything went (and recovery). We are planning on trying for a baby next year and big babies run in his family and I am not big, so I'm worried that may be my fate!
ReplyDeleteThis is also my first time commenting, but have been loving your blog for ages! Thanks for sharing your journey with us! It is so great to read about how you're going and Harper's little milestones and to be able to relate (as am also a first time Mama with a 6 month old) even though we are on opposite sides of the globe!
ReplyDelete(Melbourne, Australia) :)
I absolutely LOVE your blog, seriously check it every day! What does your husband do for a living? Little Harper is so adorable and makes me excited for my own in the {near} future!
ReplyDeleteThey don't recommend you paint their nails with regular paint when they're little because of all the chemicals and fingers in the mouth; BUT, there is a brand without all those chemicals and it's water soluble.

When my Squish is a few months older I think I'll be getting some :)

Hi! I love your blog, too! This is also my first comment :)
ReplyDeleteI love reading updates about what Harper is doing at x age. My daughter is 4 months now so I'll refer to your blog to see what Harper was doing (like when you fed her!), haha!
My question is what do you and your husband do for a living? Are you a SAHM?
Thanks!!
Katie, Jessica did write a post about her birth story.
ReplyDeleteI love your blog!! It really inspires me! I'm due with my first on the first of November!! I'm so excited to have a fall baby before the holidays :)
By the way, she's definitely old enough to have painted nails!
I would like to know where you got Harper's purple hat with white flowers that's in the picture from your post "she is here". Thanks in advance.
ReplyDeleteI love your blog and it's inspired me to get started on mine.

Great idea! I'm sure people have had lots of questions. Your blog has been really helpful to me in my pregnancy. I love using this as a tool for documenting the changes in our family but it has also been a wonderful way to connect with other moms. Thank you! Oh and if she'll hold still enough, paint those nails now!!
ReplyDeletePS.com - we're having a little boy and I'm sure he'd say Harper is the prettiest baby girl :)

ReplyDeleteI'm expecting my little girl next month and I love your post about favorite items and things to take to the hospital. Beer me at the end of next month!! Love those cloths bought a few of the shorts/leggings myself for my babe but ahhh didn't see the purple!
ReplyDeleteEastonwife.blogspot.com
I'd say paint her toe nails until she's old enough not to chew on her fingers hence ruining her mani..lol. That's what I do with my daughter.
ReplyDeleteYour blog is great! And Harper is just adorable! And omg yes....Gap just needs to get out of here with this cuteness. Just when I think the last collections were as cute as can be I see the new fall arrivals! My bank account is cursing me out right now!
ReplyDeleteI looove your blog as well, I don't even have kids yet and I enjoy all of your updates. I agree with Katie above, I believe you said you would tell us about Harper's birth story and how your c-section recovery went.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the blogging! Your baby is a doll! :)
I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see a tutorial of how you write on your chalkboard!! Your writing is awesome and practice as I might, I just can't master the cursive bubbled lettering!
ReplyDeleteI'm following all the way from Copenhagen Denmark, that's in Europe if you're wondering and I absolutely love your blog, style and easygoing nature, sounds to me like you're a great mom!
ReplyDeleteWe're expecting our own baby girl in October, I can't wait to meet her, and both your nusery and some of the clothes you bought to baby Harper, really caught my attention and made me order stuff all the way from the States!... I even "stole" a lot of your ideas for the nusery, sorry, I hope you find it flattering! :-)
Keep doing exactly what you're doing.
I wish my part of GA felt like fall! Its still blazing hot I feel like!!
ReplyDeleteI have been following since close to the start of your pregnancy and I just have to say that it is something I look forward to reading as often as you post! Seeing the sweet little pictures of Harper just top it off! My husband and I are expecting our first baby in very early March and I have already snagged up a vintage antique chalkboard to start capturing the journey. Thank you for your honest words and for keeping it real. Your refreshing approach to life in general is admiring. Thank you for being an inspiration and thanks for letting us ride along this journey with you!
ReplyDeleteI've got a 4 months old baby boy and I like to follow your lovely blog from... France!
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work!
Love seeing what new things your babe is doing! Mine was born March 9 so it's fun to see another little cutie the same age. Less than 6 months to plan the first birthday celebration! Any ideas yet?!? And don't worry, someday Harper will be able to bring you your beer! I have my 2 1/2 year old almost trained!!! Moms need coffee and drinks! It keeps us sane!
ReplyDeleteHi! I had a baby boy on February 4 of this year, and am always curious as to what other mom's do during the day with their babies. Sometimes the days feel so long, and it seems like he gets bored at home so we do go out and about quite a bit. I was just curious what you do during the days with Harper. Also, I would love to know your daily schedule too :). My little guy, Jaxen, can be hit or miss with his naps, and his nighttime sleep varies as well. Recently he was sick with a cold which messed everything up and today he woke up with a runny nose yet again! Argh...that's just my little rant and rave ;). Thanks for reading all your comments!
ReplyDeleteAmanda
Congrats on your 100th post!
ReplyDeleteI love your blog and Ive been dieing to try and make that chalkboard for months now! I even have the frame, just got to start working on it lol

ReplyDeleteShe too used Piggy Paint .... toooo cute .. and my whole family has started following your blog as well haha
Yay for 100th post! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteHey! I have been following your blog since I found out that I was pregnant which was December, and now I have a 4 week old little girl today! You have been a big encouragement to me, Thank you! I love getting online and seeing that you have a new post. My questions have more to do with how you lost your weight so quickly. I gained more weight than I wanted to 49 pounds :(. I did everything I could to try to stay in shape... I am a avid runner and marathoner. I ran up till week 32 and walked at least 5 days a week till she was born at 39 weeks. Here are 4 weeks postpartum I still have 20 pounds to lose. I am breast feeding and hoping that it is helping. Unfortunately during delivery my little one, Grace, broke my tailbone so I am just not being able to walk. Did you diet? Did you run or walk or go to the gym? Are you still breast feeding?
ReplyDeleteThank you again!
I just painted my two and a half month olds nails, I use Piggy Paint, it's low odor, non toxic.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog have been following since you were in your 20's weeks. Love seeing your beautiful family grow!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE your blog!! I would love if you could do a Q&A about diet, exercise and how you got your post baby body back!
ReplyDeleteThanks doll!
Hey Girl! Love your blog!! Been following you since the beginning!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to hear about how you came up with Harper's name! Also, I know you are from Iowa and then moved to Florida, right? What brought you to the ATL? Do you struggle with living away from your immediate family?
Oh! Can you recommend restaurants, shopping, or share some of your favorite things to do in Atlanta?
(We just moved here in January.. all our fam is back in CA)
Thanks for doing a q&a!
I have been following your blog since about 1/2 way through your pregnancy and just love reading your posts! Harper is such a doll and she is lucky to have you and your hubby as parents!! :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your 100th post! :) I am OBSESSED with the Baby Gap fall line as well! I want to get one of EVERYTHING for Olivia!! :)
Still my favorite blog, i always look forward to your posts!
ReplyDeleteHi Jessica! I love your blog! I am curious about your day to day activities, I know you have said that you work from home. What is your occupation and how do you balance that with Harper? Also can you post her feeding schedule that you have followed from birth? how long did you breast-feed her and did you pump?
ReplyDeleteSo excited for your top questions post!
Happy 100th post, and I'm proud to say I have read ALL 100 of them! I love your blog so much, and please don't ever stop! What do you and your hubby do for work? Have always wondered that!
ReplyDeletethey make nail polish called piggy toes that is all natural that would be great to paint little harpers nails with.
ReplyDeleteyou can buy nail polish for babies called piggy paint at the children's place! it is non toxic and so cute! i use it on both my daughters(3 years & 6 months!)
ReplyDeleteYou can use Piggy Paint from The Children's Place! It is a child's nail polish that's non toxic! I absolutely love it, and use it on both of my daughters(3 years & 6 months)
ReplyDeleteYes, go ahead and paint her nails!! (I'd stick with the toe nails until she's old enough not to put her fingers in her mouth. If you run them under water for a few seconds it will help them to dry faster. It's what I do for my daughter so she doesn't mess them up!
ReplyDeleteHi Jessica! Like everyone else, I have followed your blog from the start and love it. I also follow you on Instagram (@slicknick) and get so excited when I see her little pictures show up on my feed! Keep up the great work... I know it can be hard to juggle everything with a baby, I have a 2.5 year old and 6 month old... Hectic but fun! P.s.- The beer refrences and bad words make your blog real! Love it!! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy 100th post!! I, too, started following your blog when I saw it on Pinterest! I look everyday to see if you have post and I follow you on Instagram! You are one fun mama :) I gave birth to our first (a girl), Blakeley Kate on July 2nd and I love to look back at Harper being that age and comparing to Blakeley. I have bought MANY things you have recommended so thank you for that!!
ReplyDeleteI would like to read how you and your hubby met, what you both do, how your made the tissue paper banner for Harper's playroom and how you got your body back :)
Look forward to many, many more post :)
Love your blog and your sweet little Harper!! You inspired me to start my own blog about my life with a new baby... Georgia:)

Congrats on such an awesome blog! I SO look forward to many more posts in the future! I'm interested in which blogs YOU follow? :)
ReplyDeleteI am absolutely in love with your blog. I have been following you since the day I saw your pregnancy chalkboard post on pinterest. It has been so fun watching Harper grow up, as well as watching your family grow, and listening to your stories. And might I add she is one of the cutest, and trendist babies i have ever seen.
ReplyDeleteHappy 100th post!!!! I know how it feels - I just posted my 100th recently as well! Definitely makes you realize how much time flies when you're having fun being a mama. :) Great job documenting all of this for your babygirl. No doubt she will grow up someday and realize how loved she was from the day she was conceived.
ReplyDeleteCHEERS!
