It's FEBRUARY!

Sweet Baby Girl,
It's your birth month! I still remember writing "Estimated Arrival.. February 2012" on the chalkboard to surprise your daddy like it was yesterday. You'll be here in no time now, we can hardly wait. You've decided that you're very comfortable sitting in a funny, upright position rather than head down, turns out you like to do things your way. Sounds like you are just like your momma already!
Enjoy your last few weeks in my belly little girl! I think you are very excited for your new home though, you love to kick & wiggle lots whenever I am in your nursery or when daddy talks to you.We love you SO much already & can't wait to kiss your sweet face. And even if you don't arrive before Valentine's Day.. you're in luck... because we celebrate holidays all month long in this family! :)
Love, Momma

  27. what a sweet post! i found your blog on pinterest (like many others), and i have really enjoyed following your blog! especially since i'm expecting a baby girl only a few weeks behind you!! i've loved going back and comparing your posts to whatever week i'm currently on. i, too, am craving fruit, jelly, and JELLO! (sick.) although sometimes i wonder if it's because i hear you mention it so much, haha. anyway, i kind of feel like i've been watching your entire pregnant journey and even though we don't know each other, i just had to wish you the best in these last few weeks. when you're in the hospital either getting a c-section or pushing like hell (hopefully the latter!), just think of how awesome it will be to hold her in your arms...and also how nice it is going to be to have a drink again, haha. surely those two things will pull you through! :) wishing you all the best. thanks for sharing your journey with us!!

Ohmigosh, this is the sweetest thing I've ever read <3 I literally teared up a little when I read it :) How cute would it be to write her little notes like this as she grows up and give them to her when she becomes a momma? I seriously love your blog, you're the cutest momma-to-be I've ever seen and its been fantastic joining you on your journey!

  31. Last year on February 9th, my first (and possibly only) daughter was born. Tomorrow we're celebrating her first birthday. I had hoped for a Valentine's baby, but February 9th is a pretty good day to be born, too. =)

  36. I just spent my lazy Saturday reading your blog... Thank you for keeping this and making it public! I (like you) married my h.s. sweetheart, moved across the country from any family, tried for 3 years to get pregnant and finally succeeded after I 'gave up' trying so hard. You reminded me of the excitement of expecting.
Before I had babies, I would sit the rocking chair in my daughters room with my big preggo belly and try to convince her to come out and play with me... Now, I look forward to nap time so I can read a chapter of a book I've been working on for the last month.
I was raised in a (loud) family that gathered around food and would drink and play games until we couldn't keep our eyes open - so I can relate to the missing a drink while baking a baby. Your whole life is going to change once the baby gets here. Sometimes my husband and I reminisce about the days before we had kids - it seems like another life I lived.
I found out I was pregnant with my second child (a boy) when my daughter was 6 months old and I cried for about a month - feeling like I had been robbed of precious time with my daughter as a baby, and unsure how I would manage 2 babies under 2! They are now 5 & 6. I am truly living my dream (as cheesy as it sounds) picket fence, dogs and all! I am so excited for you - congratulations to you and Your hubby! Can't wait to find out her name.

  37. I also found your blog on pinterest and have been fallowing it ever since. I love your chalkboard ideas and can't wait to do it for my next one. I know that having a breech baby can be scary, my son was breech but we didn't find out until I was 5cm dilated and in labor. I got rushed into a c-section (not emergency but within 30 minutes of finding out) it was scary but we all made it out safe. He is now a happy one year old who is the best addition to our family that we could ask for. I hope everything works out for you and baby g. I hope she miraculously turns before the big day but if she doesn't don't worry it will all be ok and forgotten once you are holding her in your arms. God bless and can't wait to see when she makes her big appearance in this world

  38. I love reading your updates and seeing you grow each week! I found you on Pinterest and I'm so glad I did. I am also a young mama (of a 2 and half year old girl now!) and I too was 25 when I had her. It's fun to read your posts about pregnancy - it totally brings me right back there. Keep it up!

  39. Hello Jessica, I found your blog on Pinterest as well. I love your chalk board and spent my entire evening reading the whole thing last night. I blog on blogger as well, but I'm a Mommy to 7, so finding time to myself to blog can be a challenge. I can't wait to see your little princess. Best of luck to you both and Happy Valentine's Day!
