Decorating the Baby

Sometimes I accidentally tell my husband that I can't wait to decorate the baby.
What I really mean, is to dress her up in festive outfits for every. single. holiday. I would literally wear reindeer antlers the entire month of December if it were socially acceptable.  I have been good about buying too many future holiday outfits... but I can't resist accessories!! I know some babies hate headbands & won't wear them ..But I have a feeling that Little G will love them as much as I do! :)

Today, my most recent headband purchases arrived in the mail... and my heart burst with happiness knowing that they are for the next two holidays!! If Little G arrives a little early, she will have some Valentine's Day accessories waiting for her! But if not, St. Patty's Day it is!!

These headbands are from a blog sponsor, Jameson Monroe, on etsy. They are literally too cute for words! I have purchased SO many headbands (and baby legs..and bibs..) in the last 9 months from them .. I'm sure they're getting sick of me cleaning out their inventory! :) Might I also note, they did not ask me to write this post, I am just so very excited about the new headbands that I have to share!

Ooh how convenient.. one of the headbands even matches the coming home outfit (from the Gap) that we chose!

Did your babes arrive early? I know Little G is going to come when she is ready, but of course I would love if she would maybe make her appearance maybe just a few days early on February 13th... Valentine's Day Eve! Am I allowed to hope for that? :) Hospital bag is packed... Nursery is FINISHED... All the strawberry jelly has been eaten... So excited for this sweet baby to come into the world! Ok wait.. just a few more weeks.. I'm not that ready

PS. Thank you ALL for the sweet comments about our maternity pictures!! We are so happy with them & so glad we could capture this fun time in our lives. I am already having anxiety about my baby bump going away.. although I have a feeling that I might like my baby better on the outside! :)

    1. My daughter's name is Adelle (spelled differently). I have never known anyone else with the name, expect for the singer.

    2. Lovely! It's funny....now these days, people always reference her when I have to give my name. I tell most folks, "Hey....I was here long before she was!". HAHA!! It's a family name for me and I love it!

  5. Love the bows, and that sweet going home outfit!

My first was 4 weeks early, and I'm on bed rest with our 2nd (due March 3) to keep him from coming way too soon! We are actually hoping for Valentine's Eve, too! That's my husband's grandfather's birthday, so we thought that would be cool. :)

  7. So cute!

My son just turned 1 on January 7th. Reading up on all of you pregnant ladies makes me have the fevah, but we are waiting a little longer.

Anyway! :) I'm a new follower - thanks to Pinterest. My son was actually breech, and we didn't find out until my 38th week appointment. Surprise! So, I had a scheduled c-section. By that point, I was DONE being pregnant. Enjoy the last couple of weeks...days...whatever it may be. You'll miss it some day. :)

  11. OHHHH I sooooo hope your little G likes her headbands mine did for the first month or two and now the last 13 months I have fought her tooth and nail to get them to stay on her head or in her hair and she refuses. I have finally since I spent so much on them resorted to wearing them myself and just being a *hip* mom. lol

  12. My first daughter, Caitlin, was born at 35 weeks 6 days and was in the NICU for 10 days. They were the hardest 10 days of my life. They were also the 10 hardest days of my marriage. It was a very stressful time. I wasn't able to hold my baby until she was about 15 minutes old (this about killed me...) and when I held her for the first time, it was only long enough to tell her I loved her, kiss her head, then they took her away. I didn't hold her again for 2 days. My second (Rosalie) and third (Vivian) daughters were born on time and placed on my chest right after exiting my womb. (They are not twins! They were born 16 months apart!) It was the most wonderful feeling in the world. I will never forget it. I wanted my girls to come out, but I now say, "Stay in until your due date! Then come out!" Good, good luck! I wish you all the best!

  22. Love your blog! I am new too :) and I have 4 kids only 1 girl though and my best advice for keeping hair accessories on is never give up! My daughter has always worn them and keeps them in and everyone always asked how do you get her to keep them in...and I always tell them since day one I have put them on her and made her keep them on! It's all about persistence (you'll learn that in potty training lol) Good luck! And I hope you will continue to blog after baby G arrives, I love reading!

  33. I have one girl and another on te way anyway now. My daughter was born at 36 weeks and this one tried to come early but after meds and weeks of progesterone shots she has decided she prefers it in rather than out! Thank God for modern medicine! Girls are the best for dressing up. My advise is to start the headbands ASAP. My daughter had a bow on from day one and never wants to leave the house without a "pretty" on. We even have an accessory closet ;) my sister makes all of her baby bling and it is to die for! If you are in need of any other good for little miss be sure to check her good out! www.facebook.com/rockstarbabiesboutique

  34. I was due on Dec 27, and she was born on Dec 29. I was so scared she was going to be born on Christmas, I didn't want her to be a Christmas baby! lol I was glad that I just let it all happen naturally instead of being induced. We did a ton of walking on my 40th week, once we got home on the 3rd day of shopping for almost 4 hrs my water broke, if your doctor is ok with it you could do a good amount of walking the days leading up to v-day. :)

  35. Jessica, you are going to have one of the best dressed babies around. I love that you aren't totally into the "pink disney princess, ruffles and tutus" look... it seems like your baby girl will be a mini you! Very stylish! Love it (: Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!

  43. That's a perfect coming home outfit! I purchased an adorable tiny pink smocked dress to bring my sweet daughter home from the hosptial in. When the time came I pulled out the brown and pink sleeper from my bag and put that on her instead with a matching brown and pink hat. So much more practical, comfy, and warm for my little sweetie. I later had her newborn photos made and she wore that sweet little smocked dress in some of them. But I still adore that brown and pink outfit that she wore again and again until she outgrew it. Great choice!!!
