14 Weeks

Tuesday, August 30, 2011

How far along? 14 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 3.5 lbs (from 111 to 114.5)
Maternity clothes? Bought a few things, but not wearing any yet
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Sleeping great
Best moment this week: having a day WITHOUT a headache
Have you told family and friends: Yes!
Miss Anything? Drinking. This could potentially be my answer every week, especially every week until football season is over.
Movement: I swear I felt something this week!! A few different times I felt a fish-swimming-in-my-belly feeling that made me very aware of my stomach. Definitely not gas... potentially my imagination.
Food cravings: Fruits & sweets still... it's amazing how turned off I am to greasy salty food when I'm not hungover all the time :)
Anything making you queasy or sick: Coffee
Have you started to show yet: looking chubby for sure
Gender prediction: Girl - we will find out in less than 2 weeks!
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!
Looking forward to: Finding out the gender & feeling the baby move!

In other news, I started prenatal YOGA, have been getting headaches like they're going out of style (I will make a batch of homemade oatmeal cream pies for anyone who can give me a solution to getting rid of them!) & am officially rocking the unbuttoned jeans look this week.

Glad to see someone else doing this as well. I am just 8 weeks along, so I have not announced my pregnancy yet on my blog, but plan to do this just like you. SO fun to see others out there expecting! Looking forward to following your journey with you!

I stumbled across your page while on pinterest and LOVED the chalk board idea. Did you make it, and if so what did you use or did you buy it that way? I absolutely LOVE the idea! :)

I found you via pinterest as well. I have a solution for your headaches!!!! (Well at least it's what worked with me while I was doing yoga.) Don't turn down my solution until you try it THREE consecutive sessions of yoga. I drank at least 120-180 ounces of WATER a day while pregnant. However, on the days I had yoga (school class) I wasn't as good about my water intake for some reason. I posted my headache during yoga issue as a facebook status and one of my friends studying health and wellness said that you must drink water right before yoga AND DURING. As if yoga isn't hard enough while you're 30 some weeks pregnant-now add lots more water into a body that's running to the bathroom every 20 minutes! (and I was not doing prenatal yoga when I started) Anyway, sorry for the long winded comment, but this is what helped me and I was able to finish the semester out ending my yoga class at 36 1/2 weeks preggo and still managing to get through a two hour class. I sure hope this helps, but like I said give it a few sessions to work. Good luck!

Hi Jessica! I love love love your blog! I just found out that I'm pregnant a week or so ago and I'm probably 6 weeks along. I've been getting headaches like crazy, and I was just wondering how you dealt with your headaches... Was there any secret tricks you had? Or did you find any medicine that helped and was safe to take? Keep on posting your awesome posts and sharing pics of your adorable babe!
